It's Time for CUPID'S REVENGE!

That's right, folks. Cupid is feeling a little naughty and instead of shooting those arrows at us, he's decided to turn them on you! Uh huh. You heard it. You are being challenged to play the fool.

So here's the deal. Below is a Rafflecopter form. You get a bonus point each for following the blog and following us on twitter, but the big-point-sheebanga is the limerick.

THE WHAT?

The LIMERICK.

Your challenge (should you be so brave except we've heard you're chicken and there's  no way you have as many guts as we do collectively so yeah right we'll see if you do it) is to write a limerick professing your love to:

a: jello recipes
or
b: circus clowns
or
c: meerkat colonies
or
d: pickle juice

Nobody said revenge was easy (and if you feel this is tough, no telling what arrow you'll send us on the above form tab for Cupid's Arrows *hint hint* *wink wink*).  But you see, we're sweetening it with a super prize!

(for those with no time to watch my silly video and miss my very bad hair, prizes are 3 YA books, candy, and revision supplies)

And to help you out here's Wikipedia's definition of a limerick: The standard form of a limerick is a stanza of five lines, with the first, second and fifth rhyming with one another and having three feet of three syllables each; and the shorter third and fourth lines also rhyming with each other, but having only two feet of three syllables.

Good luck, our little candy hearts, may the Rafflecopter gods find you creative! We will announce the winner on next Friday's Cupid Arrow. And, I apologize to my international friends, but this is a US prize drawing.

  1. It's always about the hair, JRo. You could win the bleeping Printz award and all people will say is "Do you remember that video she did at 5 am with her hair all crazy???!!"

And listen to how cute you are with your sweet NC accent! I didn't get a chance to really hear your voice on your cookie rap.

OK, I should shut up now and let other people leave comments to enter.

  4. You should see what my hair looks like look now - Frightening. On to my masterpiece of a limerick...

Other folks may fear a clown
See them and they get a frown
    Red noses so big
    Those huge fuzzy wigs
Let them turn your frown upside down

    Thanks for the fun contest!

  5. J.Ro - you make me smile. Thank you for providing a bit of distraction from my revisions! Here is a lame limerick:

The leader of meercats took a chance
And moved his colony to France
    The leader declared
    After grievances aired
That the can-can was his favorite dance!

  7. Oh the juice of the pickle is best
It's better than all of the rest.
    Why drink pear or plum?
    Are you really that dumb?
You'll drink pickle if you are my guest.

  10. Oh, Jelly is as tasty
    as any other pastry
    But the ones in France
    are always advanced
    with colors of pasty!

Ok, that in itself was hard...and it sucks!

Thanks for working my mind with the challenging, yet fun, contest!

  11. My family loves the town circus;
I'm fond of tricks and hocus-pocus.
    Silly clowns, though, you see,
Are the best part for me.
Without clowns it just isn't a circus!

    1. Sorry WinterFaerie, just now seeing this comment. As described above in the Wikipedia definition, a limerick is basically a 5 line poem.
